Registry of Verified Issuers

This public registry lists the institutions whose legal existence has been verified by a validator of the ecosystem and which are recorded in the BCdiploma smart contract. Use it to make sure a credential was really issued by the institution it displays.

How does this registry work?

In the BCdiploma ecosystem, the blockchain is used to identify an issuer by a unique address, which is used to certify the certificate data over the very long term. Only institutions whose legal existence has been verified can be registered in the registry of issuers. This registry is a smart contract which allows the public to view:

  • The name of the Institution;
  • Its blockchain address;
  • Formal proofs of identity verification;
  • An intention statement from the Institution.
